Tell us what kind of print session you need
Our enquiry form helps us match your brief to the right workshop format. Add the session type, the number of people, the age group, the town or venue, and whether you want a studio visit, a pop-up workshop, or a setup at your own space.
- Private Studio Workshop
- School Pop-Up Workshop
- Team Building Session
- Family Print Session
Include the printmaking details that matter
Linocut and block printing work best when the practical detail is clear from the start. Tell us if your group is beginner level, whether you want soft-cut blocks or lino, and if you need carving, inking, paper selection, edition printing, or a press demonstration.
- Beginner Carving Session
- Inking and Printing Class
- Edition Print Session
- Press Printing Demo
Schools, colleges and mixed-age groups
If you are arranging a class visit or a school programme, add the age range, class size, and any venue limits. That helps us plan safe carving with gouges and V-tools, a clean ink station, drying space and a layout that suits the room.
For student groups, note whether you need a short introduction to registration marks, repeated impressions, or a full print finish session. If your venue is outside Woodstock, include the suburb or city so we can plan the setup properly.
Where our workshops travel
We run workshops from Woodstock and across nearby areas such as Bellville and Somerset West. We also travel for sessions in Cape Town, Stellenbosch, Johannesburg, Pretoria and Durban, plus selected schools and venues elsewhere in South Africa.
If you are booking for a corporate team, family group, or a venue with its own tables and sinks, mention that in the form. That helps us plan inks, brayers, barens, papers and the number of blocks needed.
For teachers, hosts and venue organisers
Some bookings need a fuller setup, especially when the workshop happens off-site. Use our contact form to note access details, table count, parking, floor space, and whether you need print technician support, teaching support, or a full venue setup service.
- Teacher Skills Workshop
- Venue Setup Service
- Print Finish Session
- Studio sessions and pop-up classes
What to send in the enquiry form
Ages, numbers and the date are usually all we need to plan your session. Include your preferred date, the workshop type, the number of participants, the town, and any printing method you want us to focus on, such as water-based inks, oil-based block inks, hand burnishing with a baren, or press printing.
HandPrinter Art is based in Woodstock, Cape Town, and the team is led by Thandeka Mthembu with Jason Majola, Leanne Phiri, Sibusiso Kajee, Ayesha Pienaar and Mpho Molefe supporting different parts of the studio work.
